Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh, Afghanistan (17 April 2011) – The daughter of a shopkeeper n the newly opened Women’s Business Market. The market was built understanding that women often need to keep their children with them if they wish to work. In the centre of the small square of shops is a small playground.
Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh, Afghanistan (17 April 2011) – This shopkeeper carried the precious ingredients to make these candles all the way from Iran. Using molds and wine glasses she creates a variety of candles for sale in her small shop in the Women’s Business Market.
